Eyes to the skies for first Midlands Air Festival at Ragley

RAGLEY Hall will host spectacular hot air balloon and aircraft displays this weekend as the first Midlands Air Festival takes place.

The festival, which runs from Friday to Sunday, will celebrate all types of aviation, in the grounds of the estate.

Today, Friday, there will be the Nightfire show featuring twilight aerobatics from both fixed wing aircraft and helicopters with pyrotechnics. Following this there will be a hot air balloon display, with brightly coloured balloons choreographed to music.

On Saturday and Sunday more than 60 hot air balloons, including the biggest in the world, will take to the skies, while a classic air display will feature helicopters, gyrocopters, aircraft of the First and Second World Wars and a Catalina flying boat.
