Temporary traffic lights which have caused traffic chaos on Evesham Road since yesterday afternoon, will be removed imminently as they are not required.
The lights caused long tailbacks yesterday and during rush hour this morning.
A spokesperson for Warwickshire County Council said: “These Traffic lights are for Western Power Distribution to undertake a reinforcement scheme. The works are scheduled to take place between the 3rd and 22nd May.
“A representative from WCC has just attended site and asked Western Power to remove the traffic lights within two hours as they were not required for these works.”
