Drug drive arrest from Lower Quinton




SHIPSTON Police have arrested a 59 year old male from Lower Quinton on Wednesday morning on suspicion of driving whilst over the prescribed drug limit.

At 8 am PC Craig Purcell located a Ford Fiesta travelling at excess speed through the 30mph restriction of Lower Quinton and when he stopped the car and spoke with the driver he had cause to perform a roadside drug test.

The driver tested positive for cannabis and cocaine so was arrested and a blood sample later taken at Leamington Police Station.

He has been bailed until early November while the police await the results of an independent blood analysis.

At the time the Fiesta was stopped the Driver was taking his granddaughter to school.
