District remembers its fallen
STRATFORD-UPON-AVON'S Royal British Legion was among those to launch a Poppy Appeal as the district remembers the fallen at Remembrance parades and ceremonies today, Sunday (13th November).
Pictured in Stratford with David Hastie, dressed as mascot Poppy Pete, are the Mayor Cllr Juliet Short, and volunteers Pamela Birch, Maureen Wingate and Beryl Lloyd.

Poppy ball boosts appeal by £40,000
THE Warwickshire Poppy Ball was held at The Crowne Plaza in Stratford and raised £16,000 for The Royal British Legion.
Since its re-establishment in 2014 to coincide with the Centenary of the start of the First World War the ball has so far raised over £40,000.
This year’s event saw traditional marching music and songs from RAF Cosford Voluntary Band, dance music was provided by the Mode Show Band, and local busi- nesses, and cinemas generously supported the event’s auction and raffle.
