Digging deep to tell Bard’s story

Law based his designs in part on the famous illustration from the Gardener’s Labyrinth, a popular book in Shakespeare’s day.

Among the volunteers is Jan Tracey, who was part of the original archaeological excavation of New Place from 2010 to 2012.

Jan was specifically involved in excavating the Knot Garden, and is now part of the team tasked with returning it to its original glory.

New Place and its Knot Garden will be open to the public in July.
