Many parents across the county will soon have to pay more to send their children to school after Warwickshire County Council agreed controversial changes to its Home to School Transport Policy.

The changes are aimed at slashing up to £500,000 from the council’s annual budget from September 2019, but have previously come in for criticism from many, including a number of local headteachers.

A public consultation into the proposed changes last year gathered more respondents in Stratford District (30 per cent of total respondents) than in any other area of the county.
