The Shakespeare is set to host a celebration of colour on 25 September during what promises to be a day to remember.

The Shakespeare Hospice Colour Blast will see participants wearing pristine white clothes transformed into a rainbow of colour as they are showered with powdered paint as they pass ‘colour stations’ around a 5km course.

The Colour Blast takes place at Meon Vale Leisure Centre in long Marston and is all about having fun, celebrating life and feeling colourful.

The last town year’s events have raised £20,000 for the hospice and it is hoped that target will be smashed this year.

The Shakespeare Hospice is also currently on the lookout for volunteers to help support those in the community who need it most.

People who can spare just four hours a week are encouraged to get involved and learn new skills.

Costing more than £2 million each year to deliver its services, The Shakespeare Hospice depends on volunteers in almost all of its work to fulfil its goal of providing free care to patients and their families.

The Shakespeare Hospice are holding open days in their shops to answer any questions about volunteering.

To sign up for Colour Blast 2016 visit www.theshakespearehospice.org.uk or the hospice Facebook page to register.
