Children home safely after Warwickshire school evacuated because of threat




MYTON School in Warwick was evacuated following a threat on Monday morning (20th May).

Warwickshire Police said all the secondary school students were taken out of the building and were safe. Myton Road was also closed.

In a statement on Facebook, the school explained: “This morning we received a vague threat via email against our school.

“As always, the first priority was the safety of students and staff, who were all evacuated from the buildings.

“We appreciate the communication was difficult at this time as we had such limited access to systems.

“Thank you very much for your prompt responses which allowed us to send Year 7 to 10 students home.”

At around 4.50pm, the school added that all pupils were home safely.

Earlier Warwickshire Police had asked parents not to go to the school.
