Car suffers fire damage in Stratford

A car in Stratford has been wrapped in police tape after suffering considerable fire damage within the last 24 hours.

A spokesperson from the police said: "The police were alerted to an incident just before 10pm last night on Rother Street. A car was set alight and a number of lines of enquiry are being followed up by officers in CID. The victim and the offender are believed to be known to each other and there is not believed to be a threat to the wider public."
