Car collides with retirement home

THE emergency services were called to Lower Quinton this afternoon after a car collided with a building on St Swithin's Drive.

The black Mitsubishi Colt left the road hitting a hand rail before smashing into a door at the Corbett House retirement home in the village. Several police officers, an ambulance and fire appliance attended the incident which occurred across the road from the village store and post office.
