Campaign takes off for Air Ambulance with £30,000 raised
MORE than £30,000 was raised to help the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA) during a week-long fundraising campaign this autumn.
Street collections were held across the two counties during the charity’s second Air Ambulance Week held recently.
The high profile awareness week received an incredible response from the public who donated £5,000 more to the campaign then they did in 2015.
In Warwickshire alone supporters donated £7,307.
Collette Richardson, one of the charity’s fundraising managers, said: ‘’The generosity of the public was fantastic and the response we got on the streets from people was amazing.
‘’I would also like to thank all the volunteers who gave up their time to help with the collections. We couldn’t have done it without them.”
The money raised will be split between the WNAA and the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance.
