BREAKING NEWS: Armed robbery in Stratford

Police are appealing for witnesses to an armed robbery at a shop in Stratford.

It happened at around 9.40pm yesterday (14 May) at the One Stop shop on Drayton Avenue.

A man is reported to have gone inside the premises and pointed a weapon - believed to be a knife - at a staff member and demanded money. A quantity of cash was handed over.

The man is then believed to have left in the direction of Holly Walk with another man. The member of staff did not suffered any injuries but was left shaken up by the incident.

Enquiries are ongoing but officers are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident, or who was in the area at the time.

Anyone with information is asked to call Warwickshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting incident number 446 of 14 May.
