Bar chain expected to open at Bell court

National bar chain All Bar One is expected to occupy a unit in Stratford’s new £30million Bell Court development, planning documents revealed this week.

The chain, which has more than 50 bars across the country, would fit in with developers UK and European Investments’ vision of creating a thriving restaurant and retail hub surrounding a new multi-screen cinema.

The four-screen 12,000sqft cinema will be operated by the Everyman group while upmarket burger chain Byron have confirmed that they will be occupying a unit at Bell Court.

It is expected that the bar will follow similar opening hours to the cinema and restaurants that will occupy Bell Court.

John Stacey, Asset Management Director at UK & European Investments, said: “We are in various stages of discussions with a number of potential occupiers and hope to be in a position to make an announcement shortly.”

Bell Court will replace Stratford’s ill-fated Town Square development which suffered from low footfall for a number of years.

Bell Court is expected to open its doors to customers in the spring.
