Award recognition for Stratford volunteer

There was a box in the hub for service users to post their written nominations for who they thought should be presented the award, and Maureen received the most votes.

Maureen who has been volunteering for the charity for just over a year said: “Somebody I know suffered with mental health issues. Organisations like this one offer a nice opportunity for people who suffer with mental health issues to get together and be supportive of each other.”

Maureen has also helped Springfield Mind in other ways, including delivering a food programme, to encourage healthy eating.

After receiving the award she said: “It’s an honour.”
