Appeal for witnesses following racially aggravated assault




WARWICKSHIRE Police is appealing for witnesses or information following a racially aggravated assault in Warwick.

At approximately 8pm on Saturday 29th October, a 16 year-old boy was at the mouth of a tunnel near to the main entrance of Warwick Castle when he was approached by an unknown man.

The man was verbally racially abusive to the victim. A short altercation then took place and the offender headbutted the boy.

The suspect is described as a white man in his late 20s, approximately 5'11" tall and of a medium build. He was described as having blond hair and blond stubble, and was wearing a red jacket and blue jeans.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the offence or who may have any information. Please call Warwickshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 247 of 3rd November 2016.
