ALCESTER Food Festival stall holder Alana Spencer won the final of The Apprentice on Sunday night and with it £250,000 investment in her business.

Alana, from Aberystwyth, aged 24, has attended Alcester Food Festival for the past four years and is well-known among fellow stall holders and visitors to the town.

She is already booked for next year’s food festivals in Alcester on 20th May and 21st October.

“We’ve had a really good weekend in Alcester,” said Alcester Town Councillor Alison Brown. “Nick Skelton came third in the BBC Sports Personality of the Year and Alana won the final of The Apprentice.”
