On Friday, land owners St Modwen agreed to meet with residents to resolve the issue.

Sapper Close resident Stephen Gibson said: “We met with the estate manager of St Modwen and an arboriculturist and an agreement has been made between all parties that two of the storm damaged trees will be felled. The other trees will be pruned and then maintained. New trees will be planted to replace the felled trees. This is a good outcome and compromise that we're all happy with. Common sense has prevailed.”
