Kate Lee, chief executive of Myton Hospice, said: “It’s an opportunity for us to say thanks to everyone throughout Coventry and Warwickshire who is connected to Myton Hospices, and plays a vital role in enabling us to work with up to 1,000 patients and their families each year across the region.

“Each day during the week our website, www.mytonhospice.org, will highlight the stories of our incredibly brave patients and families, the work of our inspiring medical staff, support staff and volunteers and, of course, the fundraising efforts of our fantastic supporters.

“There’s never an easy time to talk about terminal illness and end of life care, but National Hospice Care Week is a great chance for us to raise awareness and dispel some of the preconceptions surrounding this very emotive subject.”
