WEALMOOR, a leading supplier of fresh exotic fruit and specialty vegetables, recently welcomed Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, Sajid Javid to their facilities in Atherstone-on-Stour. Together with Stratford-upon-Avon MP Nadhim Zahawi, the guests were given an overview of the company’s UK and International operations.

The visit showcased the involvement of the company in the growth of the agricultural horizon both locally and globally. It also highlighted the effective nature in which Wealmoor transfer skills, share knowledge and strive for innovation throughout sites in both the developed and developing worlds.

Avnish Malde, Wealmoor CEO said: “We were delighted to have hosted the Secretary of State and Mr Zahawi and to present them with our important work and future plans. The business positively impacts thousands of lives both overseas and here in the UK, and recognises that there has to be a collaborative approach with all stakeholders to ensure sustainability.

Our hope is that visits such as this raise greater awareness of our commitments and achievements to both the government and wider business community and in turn garner support for our ongoing projects and vision.”

The Wealmoor business has had a major impact in developing production of a wide range of both traditional and non-traditional crops within the local area whilst forming integrated, innovative supply chains.
