We’re proud to be dressing to impress for 17 years
But it’s not just school uniforms that Phil — who is the proprietor of NSC Alcester — specialise in.
The shop has expanded its clothes range over the years to cater for youngsters and adults in any range of clothing stock from Cubs, Scouts, Girl Guides’ uniforms, dance costumes, corporate outfits outdoor wear, and sports wear.
So, after 17 years in business, how does Phil motivate himself every day for work?
“I love it!” he says proudly.
“I love the interaction with customers and it’s the personal service we give to them that sets us apart from supermarkets and other big retailers.
"I had somebody visit me the other day who we had dressed throughout their school life from nursery to sixth form. Imagine my surprise and joy when they then brought in their children to start the whole journey again, it’s a generational thing I guess,” said Phil.
Phil’s team includes Jo Jones and Tina Ballinger and he needs their able assistance as the NSC now has customers in south Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire.
He’s even branched out into Christmas wear in time for the festive season and also sells train sets and educational toys.
“It’s the banter I most enjoy with customers and I like to think it’s the personal touch we provide which keeps them coming back. If I was to try and sum it up I’d say we like to give service with a capital S,” Phil said.
