THE Shakespeare Birthplace Trust has been named among the country’s Top 100 Not-for-Profit organisations to work for.

The charity was 75th on the Sunday Times Best 100 Companies list, climbing 19 spaces since last year.

Representatives were at a ceremony in London last week to celebrate their third year on the list.

The trust is a major employer in the area with 230 staff and 100 active volunteers at its historic properties.

Becky Cund, director of HR and administration, said: "This is the third year that we have been recognised in this prestigious list.

"One of our key objectives is to be recognised as a great place to work in and with by our people, neighbours, stakeholders and partners.

"The results this year show that our staff have high levels of engagement, with 76 per cent saying they love working at the trust and 88 per cent describing their team as fun to work with.”
