STRATFORD-UPON-AVON-based manufacturing and engineering recruitment consultancy Consilium Recruit has been appointed a recruitment partner of the company that makes the iconic London taxis.

Consilium will help fill the 1,000 new posts that are to be created at The London Taxi Company’s new multi-million factory that is being built on Ansty Park near Coventry.

Among the new recruits will be highly skilled engineers, managers and advanced manufacturing technicians who will be involved in the production of a green version of the classic London cab, due to be launched in 2018.

Production of the current TX4 will remain at the company’s base in Holyhead Road, Coventry. Consilium Recruit celebrates its 15th anniversary this year, having been formed in 2001 by a group of engineering and manufacturing professionals.

It employs 40 people and lists Jaguar Land Rover, McLaren and Bosch among its clients.

Director Steve Doyle said: “We are delighted to be involved in such an important project for the region, and for automotive manufacture in Britain.

“The work will involve recruiting for some challenging positions, but we have a track record of recruiting a wide spread of engineering talent with the advanced skill-sets required.”
