Latest Bell Court business announced
AN Italian wine café has been confirmed as the latest tenant in Stratford-upon-Avon’s new £30million Bell Court development.
Veeno, which operates 11 stores across the UK, will open on the ground floor of the new Everyman Cinema, adjacent to new restaurants Byron Burger and Miller and Carter Steakhouse.
It will be the first Veeno to open in the West Midlands and will reflect Italy’s after-work culture of drinking, nibbling and relaxing.
The café will specialise in family- produced Sicilian wine alongside authentic Spuntini including platters of meats, cheese and other appetisers imported from selected Italian producers.
The unit was due to be handed over to Veeno this week with a view to the café opening later in the summer.
Andrea Zecchino, co-founder of Veeno, said: “We’re looking forward to expanding Veeno into the West Midlands and bringing a taste of Italian culture to Stratford-upon-Avon. Bell Court is the perfect market for us and represents a great opportunity to build our brand alongside national bar and restaurant operators.”
John Stacey, Asset Management Director at UK and European Investments, said: “The Veeno brand is a perfect complementary addition to Bell Court as we strive to create an exciting retail and leisure mix and a balance of national and independent brands.
"The relaxed offering will add to the line-up that we have secured and ensure the scheme is an appealing leisure destination throughout the day and into the night. Stratford-upon-Avon’s wine connoisseurs are certainly in for a treat.”
Already confirmed in Bell Court are the Everyman Cinema, with restaurants Byron Burger, Miller and Carter Steakhouse, Nandos and All Bar One set to follow throughout the summer.
