Kayleigh's designs on the pub of the future

The brief being it must be one that will specifically appeal to the future generation of pub goers. Some of the recommendations of the young team of designers will then be turned into reality when a real Pub of the Future is created.

Kayleigh, who currently works as an apprentice for In2Ambition, was thrilled to be chosen to take part in the innovative venture.

She said: “I feel really privileged to be working on this project, it’s great to have my ideas heard and to have an input in the creative design aspect has been a real highlight for me. “I’m excited to see the end result!”

The team have been formulating their ideas since last August when the competition took place.

Kayleigh felt that her background knowledge in design could help her set the benchmark high for creating a Pub of the Future that is both unique and exciting.

Some of Kayleigh’s ideas include a modern yet inviting design with a clean, simple and uniformed look that will be attractive to a younger generation. With the addition of free WiFi, Kayleigh is sure the pub will be a great success.

The team are now finalising their ideas ready to present them to the Marston’s PLC board in October.

The team will then learn which of its ideas have been selected to integrate into the Pub of the Future.

Great Alne-based Purity Brewing is marking its 10th anniversary by striking a deal to supply its ales to the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.

From today (Saturday), when Wasps take on Samoa, Purity’s Pure UBU and Pure Gold brands will be on sale throughout the stadium — itself celebrating its tenth year. Purity will also be on sale for all events at the arena.

Andy Gibb, managing director of the Ricoh Arena, said: “Purity has developed a regional and national reputation for providing high-calibre craft beers from their headquarters in nearby Warwickshire and, just like the Ricoh Arena, are constantly looking to develop new markets.”
