Studio manager, Andrew Sheppard, knows what it takes to get the best pictures, having started working in the industry when he was just 16-years-old. Back then Andrew was a black and white printer at John Wright Photography in Warwick and saw his huge prints adorn the Royal Shakespeare Theatre’s productions.

He said: “Watching the images appear from nowhere like magic on the photographic paper, I was hooked and started my journey working in photography.” From there Andrew worked as a commercial and PR photographer in Shipston before founding Avon Studios in Wellesbourne.

Andrew has worked around the world as a wedding and portrait photographer, and even won the Fujifilm Wedding Photographer of the Year. Andrew shared his expertise with Fujifilm to introduce new film types to the UK and with the advent of digital he was approached by Sony to help with the development of new equipment, and regularly teaches photography for them.

“Nowadays we do less weddings and focus more on corporate events and studio photography, which is what I started doing originally and still have a passion for,” he said.

“As the longest established studio in the district with our own onsite Fujifilm professional printing lab, it’s great to be part of the local community many of who support our studio and use our photographic services.”
