Collapsed firm was working on new £22m hospital

SOUTH Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust are working to minimise any delays in constructing the new Stratford-upon-Avon Hospital after one of the project’s contractors went into administration.

EIC, a building services and facilities management company based in Alcester, went into administration earlier this month with many of its 400 employees across the country made redundant.

It is understood that EIC was not one of the £22million hospital’s main contractors, but had been subcontracted to provide some services.

A spokesperson for the Trust said: “We are liaising with our main contractors to minimise any impact on the project timescales.”

EIC also worked on the renovation of the Royal Shakespeare Company's The Other Place and the new Warwickshire College campus in Leamington.
