Aston Martin sales accelerate

ASTON Martin sold 5,117 of its luxury sports cars in 2017 — a nine-year high.

The company, which has its headquarters in Gaydon, Warwickshire, said demand for its DB11 has contributed to the 58 per cent increase in sales from the previous year.

It will publish its full financial figures in March.

Dr Andy Palmer, president and chief executive, said this year would see the introduction of the Vanquish replacement and production of the new Vantage.

He added: “We continue to perform ahead of expec- tations, both in terms of financial performance and in meeting our targets for the DB11 and special vehicles.”
