Two out of three ain’t bad for Stratford Ladies

TWO out of three Stratford Ladies teams recorded wins in Saturday’s fixtures.

Goals from Emily Finlyson and Molly Harper earned the Firsts a 2-0 home success against Bridgnorth in Midlands Feeder West.

The Seconds were also victorious, securing a 3-1 win away to Berkswell & Balsall Common in Warwickshire League Division Two.

Mandy Smith, Zoe Tubb and Catherine Smith scored their goals.

Despite having ten players, the Thirds battled and battled away to University of Warwick, only to fall to a late winner for the students.

The Men’s Thirds and Fourths recorded good wins but there were defeats for the Seconds and Fifths.

James Cawthorn, Matt Cumberworth and David Grumball scored in the Thirds’ win at home to Old Silhllians, while Foster and Powell gave the Seconds a 2-1 victory at Hampton 4ths.

The Firsts were given a 3-0 scoreline after they were awarded a walkover at home to Cannock in Midlands Two.
