A TARGET of raising £65,000 has been set by The Myton Hospices ahead of its tenth Glow in the Moonlight walk.
For the first time it will start and finish at Warwick Racecourse on Saturday, 15th September. People can take on either a five-mile or eight-mile route in their best pyjamas or onesie.
Both routes will take participants around Warwick and Leamington Spa before returning to the racecourse.
At the racecourse an outdoor stage will play host to a live music performance, with a Zumba warm-up before setting off at 8pm.
Registration fee for the event is £20 for adults and £10 for children and includes glow sticks, flashing accessories and UV face and body paint.
And everyone who finishes the route will also be given a bespoke Glow in the Moonlight medal.
Rebecca Richards, assistant events manager at The Myton Hospices, said: “We are so excited to celebrate Glow in the Moonlight’s 10th birthday; with longer routes, a new venue and pyjama theme it’s going to be a really fun night out.”
The event is supported again by Baxi and Bravissimo.
Tricia Yardley, from Bravissimo, said: “The wonderful care that Myton provides to patients and their families is well known to our teams at Bravissimo and they love that we’re able to give something back to such an amazing charity by co-sponsoring Glow in the Moonlight.”
Maureen Tallis, of the Baxi Heating Charitable Trust, added: “Many of our colleagues and their families have benefitted from the care and support provided by The Myton Hospices, and we are pleased to help raise the funds for this wonderful organisation so they can carry on this incredible and worthwhile work.”
