WARWICKSHIRE police are appealing for information in the theft of 40 sheep from a farm in Bidford.
The sheep were reportedly stolen from some fields on a farm on Georges Elm Lane, Bidford. It was realised that some sheep were missing on the 15th February, but the actual time frame of the theft is unknown.
Police Sgt Robert ‘Bob’ Shaw said: “We do come across it, sheep theft, but not very often if I’m honest.”
The 40 sheep stolen have an estimated value of around £2,000. The farmer’s entire herd of sheep was not stolen, and it’s unclear how the sheep were actually taken.
Sgt Shaw added: “We’ve no lines of enquiry at this stage as where they’ve gone or who’s taken them. They’ve just disappeared from the field.”
Anyone with information about the sheep theft can call the police at 101 and quote incident number 271 of 20th February.
