Alcester boss Janes excited for derby clash against FC Stratford

ALCESTER Town warmed up for their derby tussle against FC Stratford with a convincing victory over Castle Vale Town on Saturday.

Danny Janes’ side cruised to a 5-2 win thanks to goals from Ellis Kalach (2), Wil Beach, Matt Fearon and Dean Hay, leaving them in great shape ahead of Tuesday’s visit to the MoodChimp Stadium.

“I can’t wait for the game,” said Alcester boss, Danny Janes.

“FC Stratford are having a great season and Dave Poulson is doing a fantastic job, I have known Dave for a long time and have a massive amount of respect for him.

“I have a lot of friends at FC Stratford, I will say hello to everyone on arrival but after that point I couldn’t care less.

“We are there to win and play well, I am fully focused on ensuring we leave with the three points – I am sure they feel the same.”

Saturday’s win over Castle Vale moved Alcester above Stratford into fifth in the Midland League Division Three table.
