Armed robbery in Chipping Campden


Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Chipping Campden convenience store early on Friday morning (26 January).

Officers were called to the One Stop convenience store in High Street at about 6.15am after three men threatened staff with a gun and other weapons before making off with cash from the safe and cigarettes.

Three offenders, all men, entered the store just after it opened at 6am.

One threatened a female shop assistant but neither she nor her male colleague were physically injured.

The offenders, all described as tall and wearing dark clothing, left the shop and are believed to have made off in a car.

Investigating officers would like to hear from anyone who was in Chipping Campden High Street early on Friday morning and either saw the offenders or an unfamiliar car arrive or leave the area.
