A NEW era could be set set to dawn at four Stratford schools after they revealed plans today to form their own multi-academy trust.
Stratford School, Bishopton Primary, Bridgetown Primary and Thomas Jolyffe Primary are looking into joining together, a move they claim will bring a range of benefits.
In a letter to parents this week, the schools say being part of an academy trust will enable them to share teaching practices, provide more opportunities for pupils, attract and retain the best staff and make resource efficiencies through joint commissioning of services.
Stratford School is already a single academy trust, but the three primary schools would leave local authority control if the move goes ahead.
The schools have launched a consultation with parents, pupils, staff and members of the community on the idea, which runs until 9th March.
