Police appeal following fatal collision near Wellesbourne

Flowers have been placed at the scene of the crash that claimed the lives of Daniel Webb and Aaron Aston.

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious traffic collision near Wellesbourne on Friday night in which two men died.

Police have yet to release the names of the men, though they have been named locally as Daniel Webb and Aaron Aston.

The two-car collision happened on the B4086 Stratford Road in Charlecote shortly after 8pm on Friday night.


The incident involved a white Mini Cooper and a silver Peugeot 106 and happened close to Wellesbourne Airfield.

Two ambulances and a paramedic in a rapid response vehicle were sent to the incident but sadly the two men were confirmed dead at the scene.

Two occupants of the second vehicle sustained minor injuries and were taken to hospital in Warwick.

Witnesses to the collision are asked to contact Warwickshire police on 101 quoting incident 459 of 24th September.
