BREAKING NEWS: Serious incident on Western Road

Emergency services are currently at the scene of a serious road traffic collision involving a car transporter on Western Road.

The incident occurred at around 8.45am and the Midlands Air Ambulance was sent to the scene. It landed at the green on Hodgson’s Road and Justin’s Avenue.

The ambulance service confirmed that they are treating three patients.

Fire crews from Stratford and Alcester also attended to help free persons trapped at the scene.

Birmingham Road was closed for a short time following the incident but has been re-opened, while Western Road remains closed as an investigation takes place.

Police are advising motorists to avoid the area as there will be increased congestion.

The road was closed at the junction, so the air ambulance could have landed, but it chose to land on the green at Hodgson’s Road and Justin’s Avenue instead.
