A NEW audio trail launched on Saturday takes walkers through an historic and fact finding tour of the Welcombe Hills and Clopton Park Nature Reserve in Stratford-upon-Avon.

The two-hour trail invites listeners to walk on a journey through ten historical topics that relate to the site and brand new interpretation boards, which have been installed at selected points along the way, help visitors learn about the history and the wildlife of the area.

At Saturday’s launch, performances from Playbox Theatre’s Shakespeare Young Company took place and demonstrations were given on how to use smartphones to access the audio trail.

The ten-track audio trail was researched, scripted and recorded by young people from Playbox Theatre and Shakespeare Birthplace Trust and has been funded by the Heritage Lottery.
