Police appeal for injured pedestrian to come forward

A PEDESTRIAN who may have witnessed a crash in Stratford-upon-Avon town centre, but was then hit by a car herself, has been asked to come forward by Warwickshire Police.

A Honda Civic and a BMW were involved in a collision in Bridgefoot, shortly after 1pm on Thursday 24th March.

Following the impact, the Honda was then involved in a subsequent collision with two pedestrians.

One of the pedestrians, a woman, was reported by witnesses at the scene to have sustained lacerations as a result of the collision.

She left the scene before speaking to police officers or being treated by paramedics. The woman is believed to have left the scene in the direction of Cox’s Yard, towards the tramway bridge.

Officers are keen for this individual to come forward and confirm they are safe and well. This woman may also have significant information about the incident.

The other pedestrian, a man in his forties, did not sustain any injuries.

Officers are keen to speak to the drivers of both the BMW and the Honda Civic as neither vehicle stopped at the scene.

The Honda Civic is believed to have left the scene in the direction of Waterside, towards Carluccio’s but it is unknown what direction the BMW left in.

Anyone who witnessed the incident and have not yet spoken to police have been asked to call 101 quoting incident number 154 of 24th March.
