Jimmy Spices closes in Stratford

A well-known Stratford restaurant has closed its doors with the company behind it expected to enter liquidation later this month.

Jimmy Spices on Windsor Street has already closed after Peppercorn Leisure Limited, which runs the chain, ceasing trading.

The company is officially set to enter liquidation on 24th March.

The news will come to a blow to many Stratfordians who will be sad to see an affordable town centre restaurant go.

Is there anything else you wanna take from Stratford?

  • Luke

Huh? The business basically couldn’t stay above water so their closing down, nothing to do with Stratford this time lol

Not helped by a greedy local council & Land lords. If the council in particular lowered the business rates it would keep people in jobs, then less likely to be claiming housing benefit

agree that rates are too high which is why we end up with no independent businesses and just the same collection of multiples as you see everywhere else. Leamington is far better with many more independent stores. however in this case its the holding company that’s gone bust which operated this chain across the midlands so that’s not down to the council/trust.
