Two fire engines, one from Alcester and the other from Stratford-upon-Avon removed the roof of the car to free the woman.
She was then taken to the Alexandra Hospital, in Redditch, by the ambulance service.
At the same time, a passing woman collapsed in the street. She too was taken to the Alexandra Hospital in a second ambulance.
A Warwickshire Police spokeswoman and the ambulance spokeswoman both confirmed that the two incidents were completely separate to each other.
Meanwhile, the driver of a Stagecoach bus that was travelling along the High Street at the time of the collision, was believed to have been asked to park the bus across the street to create a road block.
