The Eden Hotel Collection, and the RSC, who together currently own the Arden Hotel, in Southern Lane, jointly acquired Caterham House from David Young and his wife, who have operated the hotel since 2002.
The sale price is undisclosed but advisors Colliers International can confirm that it was sold for in the region of £1 million guide price.

Jonathan Wren, director at Colliers International, who advised the vendor in the sale, added: “The sale of the Caterham House Hotel is further evidence that the market for small bespoke boutique hotels has returned.
“The marketing of the hotel generated both a healthy demand from buyers and a real buzz amongst the local community.
“We are delighted that the hotel was purchased by such prestigious buyers.”
