College sets up apprentice academy

The academy was officially launched on Friday, 18th September, at the college’s Get the Edge apprenticeship careers fair.

Employers interested in the scheme, and school and college leavers who want the chance to kick-start their careers with local firms as apprentices, had the opportunity to meet informally and discover the mutual benefits of apprenticeship programmes.

Stratford MP Nadhim Zahawi and business entrepreneur Lord Digby Jones both attended the fair.

Stevie Edmund-Jones, head of employer engagement at the college, said: “We are very proud of this latest initiative which will undoubtedly assist students interested in work-based training to secure the right apprenticeship and set them on the path to career success.”
