But it is hoped this year’s big winner will by Shipston Home Nursing, which is the event’s charity partner.
The run is sponsored by Stratford law firm Lodders, which has runners and a team of volunteers who will hand out bottles of water, T-shirts, bananas and the like to finishers.
It is the sixth year the company, based in Elm Court, off Arden Street, has been the Big 10K’s main sponsor.
Rob Minton, race director from Tempo Events, said: “We’re really thrilled that Lodders is continuing its special relationship with Stratford’s Big 10k for yet another year.
“We will be pulling out all the stops to help make it a fantastic experience for all the runners coming to complete the race.”
Lodders’ partner Steven Baker, who will lead Lodders’ team again this year, added: “The Big 10k is extremely popular and we are pleased that we are continuing our sponsorship.
“Shipston Home Nursing does valued work within the community and we are determined to raise as much for them as possible.”
