IN TODAY’S HERALD: Police officers tell their story in dramatic dog rescue

WITH temperatures soaring outside, two Stratford police officers had to smash the passenger window of a car parked in the town to free a dog that had been left in the vehicle for over three hours.

The dogs owners had gone to the theatre and left her in the car with windows slightly open. The alarm was raised by concerned members of the public who called the police.
