Former Lib Dem joins Tories Woman saves the life of dog with two and a half legs Campaigners angry over plans for 350 more homes in Alcester Charity bookshop manager becomes 468th Mayor of Stratford Residents worried by proposals for 160 new homes

Home run starts now for Town

MIDLAND Alliance leaders Stratford Town begin a run of six consecutive home games when they entertain Leicestershire outfit Kirby Muxloe at the DCS Stadium on Saturday.

Carl Adams’ men will be looking to put the disappointment of Tuesday night’s 2-1 defeat at second-placed Stourport Swifts behind them as they begin the month of March with a healthy 13-point lead at the top.

Adams’ former club Coleshill Town did Stratford a huge favour in their last two games.

On Saturday, they held Loughborough University to a goalless draw and went one better on Tuesday when they won 1-0 at Gornal Athletic. Both Loughborough and Gornal are expected to be in the title mix at the end of the season along with Stourport.

Town picked up just one point from the last two games away at Rocester and Stourport but Adams was still upbeat about his side’s title prospects.
