Rail companies London Midland and Chiltern reported services are running although at reduced speed resulting in longer journey times.  Birmingham Airport is open although many arrivals and departures have been delayed due to the weather conditions.

With blustery winds expected to continue on Christmas Eve and another storm predicted to move in on Thursday night,  motorists across the region are being urged to take care and exercise caution when out and about on the roads over the next few days.

The Met Office have issued a yellow warning of wind across the West Midlands and are advising the public to be aware of potential disruption.  Driving in wet conditions can be particularly challenging for drivers as visibility is reduced and stopping times and distances increase.

If water has flooded across a section of road it may be difficult to tell exactly how deep it is. If you do come across a road that is flooded do not attempt to drive through the flood water as this can be extremely dangerous or seriously damage your vehicle.
