TWO people were injured, one seriously, in a three-vehicle collision in South Warwickshire last week.
Emergency services were called to the A46 near the turning for Stoneleigh shortly after 8pm on Wednesday 16th October.
Three vehicles were involved, a red Mitsubishi Carisma, a black Taxi, and a silver Renault Laguna.
A lot of other vehicles were forced to stop immediately behind the collision, giving the appearance of a much larger incident.
The driver of the Mitsubishi, a woman in her 40s, was trapped in her car and had to be freed by firefighters.
She had numerous serious injuries and was taken to University Hospital in Coventry.
The male driver of the Renault Laguna suffered minor injuries and was taken to Warwick Hospital. The taxi driver was uninjured.
The southbound carriageway of the A46 was closed to traffic from the Festival Island at Coventry, and only fully re-opened at 4am, Thursday.
