AN ALCESTER man is due in court today (Friday) charged with two burglaries and handling stolen goods.
Lee Stephens, aged 33, of Beauchamp Road, was charged after garden machinery was stolen during a shed burglary in Mappleborough Green on Wednesday.
He has also been charged with a burglary in Church Street, Alcester, on 7th August where a number of figurines were stolen.
Stephens was arrested at an address in Redditch yesterday, and later charged with the offences.
He was remanded in custody overnight pending his appearance before magistrates in Leamington today.
A second man was also arrested but has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
UPDATE: His case was sent to crown court, where it is due to be heard on 29th November.
