The three-storey houses with rooftop terraces will be set back from the street, next to the Grade II listed, Georgian style Trinity College in Church Street.

Featuring large entertainment areas in the basements and rooftops with winter gardens, the three and four bedroom homes will have views across Stratford to the River Avon and Holy Trinity Church.

The existing building was erected in the 1960s and has remained disused for six years since the medical practice relocated to new premises.

The new contemporary houses will have concealed roof glazing and glass floors to efficiently channel light and heat throughout the building.

Work will begin on the homes - which have been designed by Stratford-based Studio Spicer Architects - in May.
