STRATFORD District Council's legal challenge against the government's decision to grant planning permission for the building of 800 homes on land west of Shottery has been listed for hearing on Tuesday 2nd July at Birmingham Justice Centre. It is expected to last for two days.
On 25th October last year Communities Secretary Eric Pickles announced his decision to approve an appeal by J S Bloor Homes to go ahead with the controversial development, even though the scheme had been unanimously rejected by members of the district council’s west area planning committee.
