A WOMAN suffered a broken leg and a serious head injury when she was hit by a black car near the traffic lights in Evesham Place, Stratford-upon-Avon, on Thursday night.
After the second crash at the crossing in a fortnight, the 40-year-old pedestrian was taken to University Hospital in Coventry.
Receiving a gash across her forehead, she was fully immobilised and given pain relief by paramedics, called to the scene just before 9pm.
The vehicle involved in the crash was a black Vauxhall Astra, and police closed the road for a few hours to carry out an investigation. The driver of the car was not injured.
Two weeks previously, a Welford woman crashed her silver Porsche Boxster into one of the traffic lights after a collision with a Mini. No-one was hurt in the incident.
Anyone who witnessed Thursday’s crash between the Astra and the pedestrian can call police on 01926 415415.
The silver Porsche Boxster climbed up the railings and hit the traffic light on Saturday 23rd February.
